Sean Kingston



In 2006 brak Kisean Anderson op 17-jarige leeftijd wereldwijd door onder zijn artiestenaam Sean Kingston met de hitsingle 'Beautiful Girl'.

De van Jamaica afkomstige artiest kreeg inspiratie voor de song toen hij luisterde naar een uit 1961 afkomstige single 'Stand By Me' van Ben E. King, afkomstig uit de platencollectie van zijn moeder!

De tekst voor het nummer schreef hij zelf, en hij gebruikte de beat van dat oude nummer. Het nummer mailde hij naar verschillende platenlabels en zette hij op zijn eigen My Space. Het leverde hem al snel een platendeal bij Epic op.

Kisean ging druk aan de slag om teksten te schrijven voor een debuutalbum en wekte daarbij samen met enkele grote producers. Het debuutalbum 'Sean Kingston' verscheen in 2006 met daarop hits als 'Beautiful Girl, 'Me Love' en 'Take You There'.

Voor zijn debuutsingle 'Beautiful Girl' ontving Sean Kingston een Mobo Award voor 'beste reggae act' en een Teen Choice Award!

In 2008 kun je Sean Kingston ook zien in zijn eerste filmrol, de zanger speelt Notorious BiG in een film over het leven van de rap legende!
